  1. I was so engrossed in this book. I loved the descriptions of Werner, Jutta and Marie'Laure. It inspired me to stand up to evil and do what is right. I loved all the similes and metaphors for life. Once again, revisiting World War II makes one wonder how man can be such a beast to man. We see it everyday and only God can change a heart.

  2. Definitely loved reading this book and will most likely read it again years down the road. The perspectives of characters on both sides of the fence during WWII really makes on see the event through the eyes of individuals instead of the good vs. the bad. It really brings home the concept that an individual shouldn't be judged on a group mentality.
